Zinc can help!

The Benefits

Zinc reduces inflammation & prostaglandins, which helps relieve period pain & even more severe conditions like endometriosis.

Its great for skin, hair and vaginal epithelium, so it improves complexion & vaginal dryness.

Zinc downregulates cortisol & the stress response which helps to regulate the HPA axis. That’s why zinc can be so effective for mood symptoms.

Is Zinc Good For Menopause?

As we explore the benefits of using zinc for menopause, it's important to understand how this essential mineral plays a crucial role in managing menopausal symptoms.

Zinc's anti-inflammatory properties can not only alleviate period pain but also contribute significantly to overall well-being during the menopausal transition. Women experiencing menopause often report a variety of symptoms ranging from mood swings to physical discomforts like vaginal dryness. This is where zinc and menopause come together as a powerful duo. Zinc's ability to regulate the stress hormone cortisol helps stabilize mood fluctuations commonly seen during this phase.

Incorporating zinc into your daily regimen could be a game-changer for managing menopausal symptoms effectively. Whether it's about enhancing physical health or providing emotional stability, the relationship between zinc and menopause is worth considering. As always, consult with healthcare professionals like us at Rocky Coast to tailor the right zinc dosage and form for your specific needs. Remember, each individual's experience with menopause is unique, and so should be the approach to managing it.

The Dosage

The best form of zinc is citrate, picolinate, or bisglycinate taken after food (zinc taken on an empty stomach can cause nausea).

At Rocky Coast, we recommend starting with 30mg/day (never more than 75mg).
