Whether you are in search of answers to a chronic health issue that traditional doctors haven’t been able to diagnose, seeking support and assistance with fertility and your path toward pregnancy, or looking to try an alternative to Western medicine with a Chinese herbal consultation, we offer safe, secure video visits.

While we haven’t quite figured out how to provide acupuncture remotely, many of our services—especially functional medicine and Chinese medicine—can be provided from a distance. These offerings are perfectly effective via telemedicine appointments and allow Rocky Coast to expand our impact and accessibility beyond the traditional brick-and-mortar office setting.

HOW DOES TELEMEDICINE WORK?
Here at Rocky Coast Integrated Medicine we are excited to offer telemedicine appointments for our services that can be carried out remotely, including Functional Medicine, Fertility Treatment and Chinese herbal consults.
Book your appointment by filling out the necessary appointment form or contacting our office at 207.775.2059. You will be scheduled with the appropriate practitioner and emailed a secure link for your video visit via Kareo.
Our telemedicine appointments can be accessed via the secure link in your email, on a computer, tablet or smartphone. Please login 15 minutes prior to your appointment time to make sure you internet connection is secure and your video and audio are both working. Feel free to use headphones to cut down on background noise and keep the conversation with your provider private. Sometimes we run a few minutes late, just like in the office, thank you for your patience!
What CAN I expect at my appointment?
Initial visits are scheduled to allow for the necessary amount of time; 60 minutes for Functional Medicine and Fertility Treatment, and 45 minutes for Chinese herbal consults.
Regardless of the service, the initial visit is always a personalized, one-on-one, fact-finding mission. A deep dive into your health history related to the issue at hand while also examining overall health, such as digestion, sleep, stress, energy, lifestyle, diet and exercise, as well as review of relevant labs, testing or ultrasounds you’ve had.
Return visits for Functional Medicine and Fertility Treatment are 30 minutes and Chinese herbal followups are 15-30 minutes. We take everything discussed during the initial visit and review a custom-tailored treatment plan that may include dietary and lifestyle changes, herbs, supplements, acupuncture and other modalities that help to optimize your health and treat your individual presentation. If we have ordered labs, the return visits allow us time to review the results, as well as discuss progress of treatment, Q&A, and any necessary shifts or changes in approach.
